Limitless IFC will operate like a CASC until HMRC approval
Limitless IFC is not a charity, and also not a business - we are also not registered as either.
We feel the structure best in line with our values is to run the club as a CASC - Community Amateur Sports Club.
The CASC structure ensures finances remain within and used for the club only. It also holds those who run the club accountable and keeps the future of the club safe for years to come.
Who benefits from it being run as a CASC? - The children we support and their families, which is exactly what the founders want.
We are building a community, not a customer base.
As at August 2025, the club is taking steps to ensure its CASC application gets approved. Applying for CASC status is not complicated but certain steps must be taken. 12 months of Bank statements and evidence of committee meetings for example - as we are new that documentation will take time to build.
While we do this, the founders have agreed to run unofficially as a CASC so the transition is seamless, that also includes making any financial statements open and available to anyone that wants to see them.
Should the club find itself with excess funds from subscription fees or donations, we envisage using them on cool things for the kids within our club, improving equipment and further training our volunteer coaching team.
